Lean Principles
Lean Manufacturing is "A systematic approach to identifying and eliminating waste through continuous improvement of product flow at the demand of the customer." The idea of lean is to minimize waste and maximize value. Lean is a way of thinking and acting for an entire company or organization, not just for manufacturing.

At Delo, we practice lean on a daily basis in all areas of our business, including the office. Lean is about doing more with less. Lean is identifying what creates value and eliminating what doesn’t. We focus on eliminating the following wastes:

7 wastes
Overproduction Motion
Waiting Material Handling
Inventory Over Processing
Scrap/Re-Work
In order to be efficient and create an organized work environment we practice 5S Housekeeping principles. A clean, organized workplace boosts employee moral and simply makes everyone’s job easier.

At Delo we focus on waste elimination by reducing machine set-up times, planning maintenance activities, building to order, employee involvement, and quality at the source, to name a few.
